This weekend : a step closer to the Inbox 2.0

The inbox 2.0 that Jerry Yang was demoing at the last CES in Las Vegas might actually be coming sooner that we expected. And that’s a pretty good news!Ā  This week Ryan Knight, from the mail team in Sunnyvale, published an article in which he re-explains what the YOS means for Yahoo! Mail. Around the world, the local teams are getting prepared for the big change to come.

Over here in France, the official Mail blog was updated with an alert for a technical maintenance taking place this week-end.

This system update – more important than previous ones – is part of enhancements and permanent evolutions that we try to shape on Yahoo! Mail in order to provide the best product

Ryan Knight also reports that the UK team is doing some technical work. On the UK mail blog one can read:

We are going to be undertaking extensive but essential work to our mail servers which means that some of you may not be able to access your archived mail folders or your mail overnight.we are going to be undertaking extensive but essential work to our mail servers which means that some of you may not be able to access your archived mail folders or your mail overnight.

All around the world a big update is on its way and all the various department are blogging about it, should it be in Italia, Spain or Germany

Could this be the great week-end all power Yahoo! Mail users were expected? When will these changes be reflected on our mailbox? Let’s talk about it in the Mail Group.
